About the role

The Marketing and Communications Assistant role will report to the Marketing Executive. You will also work closely with the Business Development Executive and Marketing Consultant to help raise awareness of Thrive’s position as the leading wearables agency and engage with the wearables community.

Skills and experience

We expect the successful candidate to:

  • Enjoy working in a small, but highly talented team
  • Have prior experience in a Marketing, Communications, PR, or Graphic Design position, or hold a relevant degree
  • Have strong written and oral communication skills
  • Have strong attention to detail
  • A working knowledge of design systems such as Canva and Adobe Suite would be a bonus

Accountabilities and Responsibilities

As we’re a relatively small team, all roles offer a diverse range of activities. We know that in order for a team to function well, clear accountability is needed, and we have an Accountability and Responsibility framework across the organisation.

The scope of the role is detailed below:

  • Triage incoming events related to Thrive through all platforms, and research new events and networking opportunities with Business Development Executive and Marketing Consultant
  • Facilitate effective networking channels during events in order to build new relationships
  • Assist Business Development Executive with CRM system updates, maintaining the workflow in the lead inbox
  • Administrate the planned touch-points for prospects
  • Use social interactions on LinkedIn to engage the wearable community
  • Assist Marketing Executive with email marketing campaigns
  • Design and create graphics and collateral
  • Triage incoming PR and profile raising opportunities 
  • Assist with social media activity and analytics
  • Edit and proofread client-facing documents
  • Provide administrative support

The hiring process

  • Top scorers through the initial application process will be invited to interview, and a pre-interview task will be shared (we’re much more interested in what people could do with us rather than a CV, so it’s good to be able to chat through an approach to an activity)
  • Further to an interview will be a short ‘personality’ test to ensure we know where you will fit with the current team.
  • Following this, we will hold shorter, meet the team interviews with some of the Thrive team to understand what candidates value in a place of work
  • We’ll offer the top candidate the role and start the onboarding process
