CareUK, UKResearch and Development
CareUK is the UK’s largest independent provider of health and social care. They run a number of NHS 111 services and operate around 120 care homes across the country. Care UK is the largest independent sector provider of Healthcare services to the NHS.
CareUK came to Thrive for in-depth advice on the opportunities in the wearables space and to leverage our deep knowledge of current state-of-the-art technologies.
To conduct a systematic assessment and risk analysis of the technology landscape and development options for several novel wearable technology and IoT products.
Thrive provided in-depth research and analysis, and potential technical approaches, as well as developing visual concepts and renderings of the CareUK proposed products. We combined visualisations with practical feasibility testing to create a clear strategy for developing the product concepts into production-ready technology eco-systems. As part of the work, we considered the technical and development risks and presented detailed visions for the product roadmap.
- Concept development
- IoT eco-system
- User centred design
- UX research
- Industrial design
We worked closely with CareUK to understand the project and liaised with stakeholders already engaged with the product to develop a unique product vision. We used detailed CAD renderings to visualise the product, combined with technical reporting to qualify the feasibility and specification of the Wearable Technology eco-system.
An extremely accessible presentation of the product concepts, combined with a body of information and supporting detail to allow both high-level board appraisal, as well as strategic decision making and risk management.
”Working with the Thrive team allowed us to de-risk our planned technology roll out. They delivered a body of research and concept work to our team to guide and inform decision making at board level.”
