Thrive Wearables are excited to announce that we are relocating our offices to the Sussex Innovation Centre. The complex offers a fantastic office and meeting facilities, as well as the flexibility to continue our rapid growth trajectory.
With a global reach and cutting edge reputation, the Innovation Centre, with offices in Brighton and Croydon is a fantastic location for Thrive. It is close to the local Universities and has great transport links, allowing us to develop further our bleeding edge research work and reduce the journey time for our clients from Gatwick and London.
Mike Herd, Executive Director of Sussex Innovation, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Thrive Wearables, who are exactly the kind of innovative, high-growth business we like to support. We look forward to helping them achieve their ambition and also the value that they will bring to the rest of the Sussex Innovation community. Wearables is a sector of particular interest to us and an area of technology with huge potential. The University of Sussex has a number of very promising active academic research projects with applications in this space. We hope that our relationship with Thrive will help to drive the rapid commercialisation of University IP – they have already brought their expertise to bear on the development of a potentially revolutionary healthcare sensor.”
Sussex University Alumni Jacob Skinner, who heads up Thrive Wearables, has been mulling the move for sometime: “The Innovation Centre is one of the most established and recognised centres of its kind in the UK. Having such a resource on the doorstep is a blessing for companies like ours, as the access to technology networks, academic excellence and business support allows us another layer of flexibility and breadth as we grow, whilst maintaining our extremely adaptive and lean delivery model.”
